I’m Selina Bieber, Vice President of International Markets at GoDaddy, with close to twenty years of international experience managing teams across business strategy and operations, go-to-market, product and solution development, ecommerce and digital marketing. I dwell at the crossroads of a start-up and a matrix organisation kind of business where I can test, experiment, and execute. My entire career has been in international markets, but I love the mix of complexity and opportunity in emerging markets and the ability to write the business story for this context backdrop.
Creativity, outside of the box thinking, and scalability are what get my adrenalin pumping. I am a pro in go-to-market strategy and translating the global to local for any given business or a product while, in parallel, delivering true value for my customers, and my team is top of mind.
In my role as VP managing, anywhere outside of the US, Canada, Australia, and the UK, I lead a 30+ person team across the globe, collaborating closely with our Central teams to develop our evolving strategy for international. My focus is on top-line business growth through scale, innovation, and operational excellence. Products are a big part of defining success, and I get to spearhead some very exciting product incubation and development efforts as we strive to meet our customer Jobs to Be Done (JTBD).
I specialize in serving small to medium enterprises (SME) and entrepreneurs, primarily through making SaaS solutions accessible to them to grow their business, with a deep focus on Emerging Markets (EM) where I’ve spent much of my professional life. This has given me a deep understanding of different market challenges and unlocks, particular with regards to changing regulatory dynamics and navigating these for business continuity and delivery of value to our target segment.
I’m someone who is always on the go and needs to feel like I’m moving forward and developing myself.
In my spare time, I do business growth consultancy for a select number of entrepreneurial clients in the fields of data visualization, engineering, and infrastructure and am a budding researcher in the fields of Strategic Technology Management and Entrepreneurship and Innovation as a PhD Candidate at The International School of Management (ISM).
With me, what you see is what you get. I love authenticity—in people, brands, and interactions, and lead with it in my personal and professional life. Those who know me know how I embed this into my work processes and strategic thinking, but most importantly, how I weave it into the relationships that I build. I strive to make a difference and focus my additional time on projects that deliver value.
At the end of the day, if I don’t believe in it, I can’t do it.
